Aptly named for the Texas State flower this lovely room is a pale blue color
with bluebonnet accents. The original hardwood floor has a large decorative
area rug that pulls the room décor together. The queen size bed with
antiqued metal headboard and footboard is comfortable enough to allow you to
sleep endlessly. The room also includes a desk for the business traveler should
one desire to work in the privacy of their room. The cozy bathroom sports a
textured plum finish and includes a uniquely tiled shower stall that follows
the roofline for a most remarkable height.

The Magnolia Room overlooks its namesake, a tall magnolia tree that graces the
side yard of the inn property. The room is a warm sage green color accentuated
by a carved four-poster queen size rice bed that has an elegant magnolia print
above the headboard. The seating area has a carved mahogany bench to accommodate
our guests. In addition there is a day bed that can be used for added seating
or for a third member of the guest party. Area rugs accent the original hardwood floor. The bathroom provides a combination bathtub/shower and is done in a
soothing lavender color. |

Wonderful deep harvest gold walls with red accents throughout make this a warm
and inviting suite for our guests. The queen size bed is dressed with deep
red bedding and matching pillow shams as well as a sunflower throw pillow.
The seating areas hold a comfy red reclining wing chair and end table, antique
rocking chair and side chair. The hardwood floor is decorated with a contrasting
multicolored area rug for that soft feeling under your feet. The bathroom and
shower area is separated from the sink area for a feeling of spaciousness and
the walls are done in a light mocha color. |

This charming room is filled with light wicker furniture and an elegant king-size
bed with brass headboard. The seating area includes a love seat and comfortable
rocking chair for your relaxation. The walls are covered in a soothing pale
peach and the flooring is wall-to-wall carpeting with a tile entryway. The
bathroom

a deep rose color with tile accents of sage green and cream. This suite is
situated on its own down a short hallway and with its more intimate ceiling
height is ideal for the newlywed couple or the couple celebrating their anniversary
or other special occasion. |

This cozy room is soft and feminine with wisteria accents. The warm taupe walls
and varied roofline give this room a flavor and character all its own. The
pediment style queen-size bed dressed in soft greens and lilacs coordinates
with the lively florals of the area rug. Although this is one of our smaller
suites the décor and the nine-foot ceiling height keep it light and
airy. This room includes a comfortable wing chair for enjoying private quiet
time and just outside the door is the seating area of the upstairs hallway
for additional gathering space. |

This magnificent parlor is used as a media room for the enjoyment of our guests.
Morning papers are provided each day and there is a television available in
the corner armoire should our guests want to catch up on the most recent news
events. You can watch your favorite TV channels (via the satellite hookup)
or if you prefer just prepare some popcorn and select a movie from our video
and DVD library. A game table with seating for four is tucked into a corner
of this parlor and provides the setting for some lively entertainment. The
room is a warm rose color with white trim accents on the ceiling and window
frames. The comfortable furniture is of Victorian vintage with a tasteful floral
pattern. The hearth is ornamented with the original oak mantle and deep mauve
marbled tile inlay. The seating area is arranged around a carpet in creams
and dark blue with a lovely Oriental design. |

This is our “quiet parlor” where guests can gather for intimate conversation,
reading a good book or listening to music on the stereo/CD player. The soothing
décor of soft blues and cream colors make for an elegant atmosphere. Light
colored Victorian furniture adorns this lovely room and the built-in wall cabinet
is home for the many penguin and Dalmatian figurines that have been collected
through the years by the innkeepers. The original hardwood flooring leads to
the unique gray tiled fireplace hearth that adjoins the wall cabinet. The contrasting
dark blue area rug and eleven-foot ceilings pull this room together and make
it quite warm and inviting for a guest looking to relax and slow down. |

This unique room is open to our guests at
all hours. We provide various cold drinks and snacks that
can be enjoyed in the kitchen or taken to one of the parlors
or the guest’s room should they so desire. There
is an instant hot water dispenser available for tea, chocolate
or other hot drinks that may be enjoyed by our guests.
Popcorn seems to be a big hit for folks so we have plenty
on hand, one needs only to pop it in the microwave for
a few short minutes and then eat to their hearts content.
Several home baked items are also available to satisfy
ones appetite if there is a sweet tooth in the group. |
